COMPARISONS

Moltd, Decagon, and Intercom Fin.

Both competitors are serious products and we compare them seriously: what each one is, what it costs, who it was built for, and where each one is ahead. The summary is below. The full comparisons go deeper.

PRICING MODELS

The structural difference is how each vendor treats a conversation that makes you money.

All three products resolve tickets. Only the pricing models tell you what each vendor believes support is for.

INTERCOM FIN
$0.99
per resolution, on a $49/mo base plan that includes the first 50, plus Intercom seats from $29 each
$9.99
per outcome when it is commercial: Fin for Sales prices a qualified lead at roughly ten times a support answer
DECAGON
~$50K
estimated annual platform fee before usage, per third-party contract analyses. Decagon does not publish pricing
$100K+
typical annual contracts, custom-quoted, with usage metered per conversation or per resolution
MoltdMOLTD
$250/mo
flat and published, no seats, no per-resolution meter, every channel included
$0
per upsell the agent lands. Revenue from support conversations accrues to you, not to your vendor

Intercom's pricing is internally consistent: it values a commercial outcome at about ten times a support answer. We think that valuation is roughly right, which is why Moltd does not meter them. Under per-outcome pricing, support remains a cost you forecast. Under a flat subscription, the same conversations become margin. That is the entire disagreement, and it is worth more than any feature row below.
